At Foxwel Vyaapar, we value your trust and are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines how our mobile application and backend services handle data for kirana store and retail merchants in India.

Offline-First

Sales, products, and customer credits are saved locally on your device database first. You own and control your local business data.

Secure Sync

Cloud backups are securely transmitted and encrypted using SSL/TLS. We do not sell or lease your merchant transaction or credit data.

Clear Permissions

We only request device permissions (like Bluetooth and Camera) that are strictly necessary to perform store operations.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a seamless billing experience, we collect and process the following information when you register and use the application:

Shop Profile Details: Shop Name, Owner Name, Phone Number, Shop Address, and optionally GSTIN and UPI ID (used solely to generate receipt headers and UPI payment QR codes).
Merchant Data: Product catalog, billing inventory, client contact registers, credit ledgers, and invoice records.
Device Indicators: Operating system, app versions, and essential network indicators used for connection stability and sync monitoring.

2. Device Permissions Required

The Foxwel Vyaapar Android application requests the following runtime permissions. You can control these inside your device system settings:

Bluetooth Scan & Connect

Required to discover, pair with, and print billing receipts through thermal ESC/POS printers.

Location Services

Required on older Android versions by system APIs to perform Bluetooth printer scans.

Camera Permission

Required if utilizing the smartphone camera as a barcode scanner to add products or parse stock items quickly.

3. Data Storing and Security

Since the app is designed to be power-cut proof:

All transactional invoices and customer registers reside in a secure, local Hive database directly on your mobile device.
When internet connectivity is active, data is synced in both directions with our secure cloud servers (hosted in India) to safeguard against data loss, allow device recovery, and handle cross-device logins.
Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We prioritize data confidentiality:

We do not sell, rent, or lease your store transactions, stock list, or customer ledgers to any marketing brokers or third parties.
We do not share phone numbers of your store customers with any third party. Customer records remain completely private to your store ledgers.
SMS verification codes are securely routed through Msg91, our designated SMS API gateway. No store sales data is shared with the gateway.

5. Merchant Rights & Data Deletion

You have complete control over your store profiles. You can request deletion of your account and synced cloud data at any time by filling out our online Account Deletion Request Form or by contacting our support team at work@foxwel.ai. Upon verification, all transactional records and shop profiles will be purged from our servers within 30 days.

6. Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory modifications. Major updates will be highlighted directly on our landing page.
